More Good News For Illinois College Students
If you recall, a few weeks ago I told you about a program for Illinois College Students that helped students pay back their student loans.
Now the Governor has announced a student loan program that will help some college students afford an education.
This program will save a student about $2600 on a student loan with a 10 year payback if the student borrows 20 thousand dollars.
Yeah, there is a catch. You knew there would be!
For starters, you have to make less than 50 thousand and you have to have a job in an industry like social works, teaching or healthcare.
Hey, here’s an idea, how about just paying people who go into those fields more money? I’ve never understood why someone would spend years in college and thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands, of dollars on education for a job that pays squat!
Some of you really need to think such a endeavor over before jumping in.
Back to the subject of the State of Illinois helping out under-performing college students…lol…just joking.
