College Prices Are Skyrocketing

The price of going to a public College rose again this year, up 6.6% over last year. This means that many College students will need more from their Student loans to go as far as  they used to.

The College Board (www.collegeboard.com) reports that the latest increase raises the cost of the average price per year at a traditional public 4 year College to $6185. The cost of a year at a private College rose to $23,712.

BDP has won a 5 year, $270 million contract to provide end to end servicing of the Canadian Student Loan program.

BDP will manage the 1.6 million borrowers in the student loan program. The estimated total of all debts are around 7 billion dollars.

The State of Illinois is helping Nurses providing care at Illinois Vetrans’ Homes pay back their Student Loans thanks to the new program called Veterans’ Home Nurse Loan Repayment Program administered by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.

This new program is designed to help Nurses that work at Illinois’s 4 Veterans Hospitals pay back their Student Loans with up to $5000.
